1. About these terms

These terms describe the relationship between you and SYNTAX LIMITED, at Road 1, Anifalaje, Akobo, when you use EventYard. Support contact: hello@eventyard.africa.

By creating an account or using EventYard, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service. Separate purchase, hosting or payment terms disclosed for a feature also apply to that feature. Mandatory legal rights take priority over any conflicting wording.

2. Accounts and security

You must be at least 18 years old to create or use an EventYard account. Event-specific age restrictions also apply.

Provide accurate account information and keep control of the email address or Apple or Google account used to sign in. Use your own account or an account you are authorised to manage. Tell support if you believe someone else has gained access.

You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account. Do not sell access, impersonate another person, share admission credentials to bypass ticket rules, or attempt to access another person’s information. EventYard may require additional verification for hosting, payment or security-sensitive features.

3. EventYard and event hosts

EventYard provides tools for discovery, listings, registrations, tickets, communications and related hosting and payment functions. An event’s host is responsible for the event information, permissions, venue arrangements, safety and delivery of the event, subject to the responsibilities allocated by applicable law and any separate host agreement.

Review the host’s identity, event description, date, location, access rules and cancellation information before booking. Listing an event does not guarantee a particular experience or remove the host’s obligations. Nothing in these terms excludes a responsibility that the law requires EventYard to retain.

4. Tickets and bookings

A ticket or registration is confirmed only when EventYard records the successful order and issues its confirmation. Starting checkout, initiating a transfer, seeing a pending payment or receiving a provider authorisation request does not by itself guarantee a ticket.

The price, currency and applicable charges are shown before you confirm a purchase. Availability and any reservation expiry are shown in the relevant flow. Do not make a second payment solely because the first attempt is still pending; check its status or contact support.

Follow the event’s admission, identity, age and transfer rules. A valid ticket can be used only as permitted by the event and its recorded status. A shared screenshot, copied QR code or already-used ticket may not provide admission.

5. Event changes, cancellations and refunds

The event and purchase policy displayed before payment governs eligible cancellations, refunds and any disclosed deductions, together with mandatory consumer rights. Review that policy before confirming a purchase. Contact support if a policy is missing or you need clarification.

Hosts must keep event information accurate and communicate material changes through the available tools. Contact the host or EventYard support about a changed or cancelled event. EventYard administers the available refund process under the applicable purchase policy; a request can require checks before money is returned. Payment-provider, settlement and destination constraints can affect processing. These terms do not set a blanket non-refundable rule or override mandatory consumer rights.

6. Hosting, verification and balances

Hosts must have authority to create their listings, obtain necessary permissions, honour confirmed bookings, use attendee information only for authorised event purposes, and follow applicable law. Keep payout and business information accurate and complete the verification required for the relevant features.

Fees, payout eligibility, release conditions, reserves, refunds and any optional access or financing arrangement are governed by the terms disclosed for that feature and accepted through its separate process. A displayed pending balance is not a promise of immediate withdrawal. These terms do not create an entitlement to credit, advances, guaranteed settlement or a particular payout time.

7. Content and acceptable use

Keep ownership of the content you submit. You grant EventYard the permission reasonably needed to host, display, deliver and operate the features you request, including presenting event information and tickets. You must have the necessary rights to that content.

Do not use the service for unlawful events, fraud, harassment, discriminatory abuse, infringement, misleading listings, automated misuse, ticket manipulation, unauthorised scanning, or interference with security controls. Do not misuse payment, refund, invitation or verification processes.

8. Availability and account restrictions

Features can depend on devices, connectivity, providers, location and verification status. EventYard may maintain, change or restrict features to operate the service, protect users, comply with law or investigate misuse. Important changes should be communicated when appropriate.

An account or feature may be restricted where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance or a material breach. We provide an explanation and notice where appropriate and legally permitted; urgent security or legal action can require a restriction first. You can request review through hello@eventyard.africa. Restrictions do not automatically cancel outstanding financial obligations or override mandatory refund and consumer rights.

9. Privacy and third parties

Our privacy policy explains personal-information processing and available choices. Event hosts must respect attendees’ information and applicable data-protection requirements.

Apple, Google, payment providers and other third-party services can apply their own terms to the services they provide. Their involvement does not change any obligation EventYard has under applicable law.

10. Questions, disputes and changes

Contact the support address above with account, event, payment or refund concerns. Provide the relevant event or order reference without sending a password, verification code, full card details or other unnecessary sensitive information.

Nigerian law governs these terms, subject to mandatory protections under any other law that applies to you. Please first contact support so we can try to resolve a concern. If it remains unresolved, you may use the competent courts or an applicable regulator or consumer complaint process. Nothing in these terms requires arbitration, imposes an exclusive court, or excludes liability or a remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We update the effective date when these terms change and give notice of material changes through the service or an appropriate account contact channel. If a change requires a new agreement, we request it before applying that change to the relevant feature. Separate accepted purchase or hosting terms and mandatory legal rights continue to apply to existing transactions.
